Kim Carlow
Kim Carlow is a printmaker whose current works are a celebration of beautiful coastal locations around the UK. Kim hopes to continue her travels and adventures with sketch book and camera in hand, to discover further special places to inspire her prints.
“I love the contrasting patterns of where sea meets land or building, the sweep of a harbour and the cluster of life at the edges of this island”.
Kim’s training in Fine Art printmaking took her to Norwich in 1987 and Chelsea for a Masters Degree in 1991. She has exhibited nationwide and was a member of “North Star studios” in Brighton in the early nineties and moved to Devon in 1998. Kim taught for 15 years within the art department of a local college, she now runs workshops alongside creating her hand printed lino cuts.
Kim has an open studio/shop based on Fore St in Ilfracombe. Which has already been featured in both “Coast” Magazine and the travel section of The Telegraph.
